My great grandmother always told me that if there’s something you should never ever ignore it’s your nails. Yeah, most of my teenage life was spent obsessing over my nails in fear that I will be judged based on the care I give them. But, to my great grandma’s credit, she was right. There’s nothing more horrifying (at least for me) than to meet someone for the first time with nails that resembles talons or claws rather than human nails.

I’ve been hopping around nails salons and spas, in search for the perfect place and so far, I haven’t been satisfied. Some places were really great in terms of how thorough they are and some had great nail artists but most of the time it was just a check on one area and a cross on the rest. What I needed was a place that offered great service for the right price, awesome service and an amazing ambiance. I found it at last at Nail Tropics.

Nail Tropics has several branches in the metro and I went to the Alabang Town Center branch which is tucked inside Rustan’s. Though the place is relatively small, the ambiance, service and energy of the staff more than made up for it. I opted to have a tomato and oats treatment with my French Manicure and had an extended service of a back and shoulder massage. All of that was only for Php600. Yes, I heard you say “Really?” Really.

Nail Tropics puts a lot of effort and attention to details and making your stay there really comfortable and relaxing. They have little native boxes to put your watch and rings in while you have your treatment. They also have a beautiful bamboo tray with a nice bag sheet for your bag so it won’t have to rest on your lap or the floor. The music and lighting were so relaxing that I dozed off momentarily – well, that and the very relaxing massage I got.

It is because of this amazing combination of service and skill that they’re always packed. So, I suggest that you call ahead for an appointment. Better yet, you can set an appointment online through their website.
