Banzai claims to be the biggest Teppanyaki buffet in the country. That claim is easily proven with the sheer size of the place – all 1200 square meters of it. Located in SM Mall of Asia’s San Miguel by the Bay, the Japanese buffet restaurant is most definitely quirky and appealing. However one can only rely on visual aesthetics so much, after all people do come here for the food.
Though I haven’t confirmed it, they say that Banzai flew in 4 top Japanese chefs in the country to whip up all things culinary for the patrons of Banzai. Being a buffet, there is a smorgasbord of all things deliciously Japanese – from sushi, sashimi, ramen, okonomiyakis, teppanyakis, takoyakis and salads – however, there are also some Western fares such as pizzas, burgers and roast beef for those who aren’t quite in the mood to have japanese food. (But then again, one must have been aware that Banzai is of the Japanese food sort, right?)
The best part is that they have a cultural show every weekend at 12:30 PM. You’ll be amazed by the ninja acrobats and the beautiful geishas! The chefs also have their part in the show, showing off their flair skills on the grill and punctuates it with a show of fire!
I would suggest that you make reservations if you’re going there on a weekend as they can get pretty full.
